This is an update of my earlier review, The purpose of this visit was twofold:
1) diagnose/repair the upstairs A/C which had been installed 11 months earlier, but wasn’t cooling.
2) perform routine maintenance on both upstairs and downstairs units. Result:
1) the diagnosis for the upstairs unit was an unspecified malfunction of the control board in the outside unit. This requires a replacement control board.
Status: the repair has been completed. Initially, it wasn’t clear when the repair might be completed. I was pretty much in the dark. Justin Krantz called and explained there was a supply chain issue with getting the replacement control board. Since I’d been waiting for so long, he expedited my case by purchasing a duplicate model and using parts from it to repair my unit. The new parts on order for me would then go into this unit.
It turned out that the underlying problem was a stepper motor in the inside unit. It took a lot of work and communication between the Krantz techs and factory experts to arrive at this solution. I am very impressed by their perseverance and diligence! 2) routine maintenance completed successfully. At this point the communication/repair aspect rates five stars and the maintenance rates five stars. If it were possible to give mores stars, I would! Read Less
